The Research Analyst will support the IT-Non-IT Workgroup (ITW) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) by delivering research, analysis, and reporting that help guide decisions.   • Coordinate meetings and briefings, including communication and logistics support for stakeholders.
  • Keep research records, project updates, and meeting notes organized, accurate, and easy to trace.
  • Support the progress of funded and unfunded IT/non-IT efforts while aligning with VHA strategic goals and governance requirements.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Research, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research and data analysis, ideally in healthcare or a government environment.
  • Previous acquisition and budget experience with a federal agency is required.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to convert data findings into recommendations that support leadership decisions.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, along with data analysis software.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.
