Role Overview
This Sales Development Representative position is suited to someone ambitious, energetic, and comfortable working in a high-volume top-of-funnel sales environment while also handling a more strategic sales motion. The role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and qualifying potential customers and channel partners for Rippling.
The team is looking for someone with a strong drive to win, a sense of urgency, and genuine enthusiasm for sales. In this role, you will help create and refine pipeline processes that support Account Executives right away, and you will be part of a company that supports internal growth and clear career progression in sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong knowledge of the full product suite and stay aware of the competitive landscape.
- Use targeted and thoughtful outbound messaging to reach larger-market prospects.
- Work with the marketing team on outbound initiatives designed to raise lead generation.
- Reach out to new accounts using proven sales approaches.
- Prospect into assigned accounts and continue nurturing them over time.
- Keep CRM data current and accurate.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a phone-based sales position involving outbound calling.
- Track record of working toward daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort working cross-functionally and collaborating with multiple teams.
- Strong motivation to succeed in a competitive, team-oriented setting.
- A BA/BS degree is preferred.
