Sanitation Day Shift

Job overview

This role is part of the sanitation team and is essential to keeping the facility clean, safe, and compliant. The position supports warehouse and office sanitation, careful handling of cleaning chemicals, and food safety standards so operations can run smoothly and product quality remains protected.

Key duties

• Keep warehouse and office areas clean and orderly.
• Complete assigned sanitation tasks accurately and on schedule according to the master sanitation plan.
• Use, label, and store cleaning chemicals properly in line with Safety Data Sheets and required safety practices.
• Help maintain the safety, quality, and legal compliance of food products.

Physical and work conditions

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, carry up to 50 lbs, and push or pull up to 30 lbs of force.
• Must be comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer conditions between 0 and 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Expected to work in cold environments for long periods; steel-toe shoes are required.
• Role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to reach and bend.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be available for scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays when business needs require it.

Preferred background

Prior experience in a warehouse or cold-storage setting is an advantage, as is previous sanitation or janitorial work in a food-grade warehouse.

Schedule

Regular shift hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. The organization operates 24/7, so flexibility for other shift patterns such as overnight, early morning, day, or weekend schedules may be helpful.
