Role overview
This full-time on-site Shuttle Driver position is based in Bolton, Ontario, Canada with Advance Auto Parts. The role focuses on moving goods safely and accurately between the distribution center and customer locations while following company, provincial, and commercial driving requirements.
Key duties
- Use an RF scanner to pick delivery orders accurately and without delay.
- Load merchandise at the distribution center and get it ready for transport, including operating a forklift or pallet jack when needed.
- Check vehicles, trailers, and cargo before departure to confirm that safety, emergency, and mechanical equipment are in proper condition and that shipment paperwork is complete.
- Review the bill of lading and verify that the trailer load is secure and protected from damage during transit.
- Transport products from the distribution center to customer sites while following commercial driving rules and handling the vehicle safely on roads and at customer premises.
- Unload deliveries at customer docks, inspect freight, and complete all required documentation.
- Carry out all duties in line with company driving policies and procedures and remain compliant with company, provincial testing, and licensing requirements by providing proof when requested.
- Maintain driving logs in accordance with DOT regulations, including delivery receipts and any exceptions.
- Report vehicle issues, accidents, traffic infractions, or damage in line with company policy.
Candidate profile
The right candidate should follow safe-driving practices, work carefully and efficiently, and be comfortable handling both short and long routes on fixed or dynamic schedules. The role also requires confidence when reversing in difficult conditions such as blind-side or busy-street situations, along with the ability to work effectively with distribution center staff, store teams, motorists, and other drivers.
Qualifications and experience
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent education is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience is needed.
- A clean driving record for the past 3 years is required.
- Must hold a valid Class G driver's license.
- Ability to use forklift and pallet jack equipment and keep the required certification to operate them.

The role pays CAD 19 per hour.
