Site Supervisor

About the Role

Della Townships is looking for a diligent, hands-on Site Supervisor to manage daily construction activities at project locations. This position focuses on keeping civil work running efficiently, tracking workforce output, maintaining workmanship standards, and working closely with contractors so projects finish on schedule.

Core Responsibilities

Site Execution and Supervision

• Oversee everyday construction operations and make sure work follows approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Track the advancement of civil, structural, and finishing activities at the site.
• Use labour, materials, and equipment in the most efficient way possible.
• Work in coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to keep execution on track.

Quality Control

• Check ongoing work to confirm it meets quality benchmarks and construction requirements.
• Spot defects early and ensure fixes are carried out without delay.
• Keep workmanship standards consistent throughout all construction stages.

Workforce Management

• Supervise labourers and contractor teams at the site.
• Record daily attendance and output levels.
• Ensure activities are completed within the planned timeline and milestones.

Material and Resource Monitoring

• Monitor the receipt, storage, and usage of construction materials.
• Stay in touch with stores and procurement teams to keep materials available when needed.
• Reduce wastage and maintain orderly housekeeping across the site.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow and enforce site safety procedures and company rules.
• Carry out routine safety inspections and encourage safe working methods.
• Escalate unsafe situations and incidents immediately.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare daily progress updates and maintain site records.
• Share site issues, delays, and resource needs with the Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Assist with measurement and verification of completed work.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI in Civil Construction. Strong relevant experience may also be accepted in place of formal qualifications. The role calls for 3 to 8 years of experience in residential, commercial, township, villa, or high-rise construction projects. A solid grasp of construction methods, drawings, materials, and site operations is important, along with the ability to manage labour teams and coordinate effectively with contractors. Basic knowledge of safety requirements and quality practices is also expected.
