Role Summary

This on-site Sonographer position in New Plymouth is available on a full-time or part-time basis. The successful candidate will carry out ultrasound examinations across a broad range of specialties, working in line with established clinical protocols and safety requirements. The role also includes communicating with referring clinicians, reviewing relevant clinical details, and helping prepare clear and concise reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should hold a recognised ultrasound qualification and be currently registered with the MRTB, including an active APC. Hands-on capability in radiology-based ultrasound, covering both routine and more complex scans, is required. Experience in obstetric, gynecological, pediatric, and musculoskeletal ultrasound would be a strong advantage. The role also calls for close attention to detail, confident and compassionate patient communication, and a commitment to safe and ethical clinical practice. Because this is a small-team environment, the ability to collaborate well, manage time efficiently, and respond to changing clinical needs is important.
