Special Agent (Education/Teaching Background)

About the Role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking individuals with backgrounds in education and teaching to transition into a Special Agent role. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and public safety issues.
• Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet diverse investigative demands.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness to effectively perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to undertake required travel.
• Must satisfy all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university is required, with a preference for degrees in education or related fields.
• College transcripts must be submitted to verify all degrees.
• Resume must not exceed two pages and should detail relevant work experience with start and end dates.
• Veterans must submit DD 214; disabled veterans must submit DD 214, SF-15, and a VA letter dated 1991 or later.
