About the Role
As a Store Manager in St. John's, NL, you will lead a Starbucks location by overseeing day-to-day store operations, delivering strong business results, developing a high-performing team, and creating a welcoming community space. The role focuses on more than product quality; it emphasizes genuine customer connection, team leadership, and local community impact.
This position is designed for a leader who acts with purpose, takes initiative, and can run the store with a high degree of independence while using established brand standards and business practices.
What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for growing the store’s business, supporting partner development, representing the brand, and strengthening the store’s relationship with the community.
- Manage store operations to support a smooth and efficient customer experience.
- Drive revenue growth by using business insight, operational efficiency, and practical problem solving.
- Build, coach, and motivate the team so individual partners and the group can perform at their best.
- Act as a visible brand representative who helps the team achieve strong results.
- Support community connection by aligning the business with the needs of customers, partners, and the wider neighborhood.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with retail or customer service management experience, strong people skills, and a mindset suited to a sales-driven environment. You should be comfortable leading with maturity, guiding others, and staying organized under pressure.
- At least 3 years of experience in retail or customer service management.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- An entrepreneurial approach with experience in a sales-focused setting.
- Leadership strength along with the ability to coach and mentor team members professionally.
- Minimum education level of High School or GED.
Eligibility and Work Conditions

- This is a full-time position that regularly requires more than 40 hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this position is CAD 57,300 to CAD 76,050. Actual pay may differ based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Eligible employees may also qualify for a bonus program and annual bean stock grants.
