Overview
The Supply Chain Leader is responsible for turning customer releases and forecasts into a workable production schedule for the Cotton Blossom Plant, ensuring the plan fits within plant capacity and supports customer demand. The role involves daily coordination with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to address issues quickly and keep performance on track.
Key performance areas include schedule adherence, inventory management, and maintaining compliance across finished fabric, raw materials, and sales goods. The position also supports the company’s wider objective of operating safely, ethically, and efficiently while helping the business remain a preferred supplier of automotive interiors.
Safety and Quality Commitment
Safety is a top priority at the Cotton Blossom Plant. All associates are expected to use their authority to stop any process when they see a real or perceived safety concern. In addition, every associate is expected to help strengthen customer partnerships by consistently delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Promote and lead safety practices within the assigned area.
- Build capacity plans aligned with plant constraints and customer needs.
- Analyze data using tools such as Excel and JOMAR.
- Oversee inventory planning and control.
- Prepare weekly schedules, 8-week schedules, and forecasts.
- Meet daily with Customer Service to review urgent items and delivery priorities.
- Support lean initiatives at Cotton Blossom.
- Participate in weekly customer service calls for Gayley/Abbeville.
- Coordinate communication around new foam, scrim, and related materials.
- Place and manage orders for scrim, foam, and similar materials through MRP.
- Track monthly TL/FG inventory.
- Hold weekly calls with suppliers.
- Present updates in MAP meetings.
- Manage build-outs and project transfers.
- Handle additional work assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant hands-on experience.
- At least 2 years of experience, preferably with Sage or another textile company in a supply chain role.
- Proven ability to handle several projects at once.
- Comfortable adapting quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to run meetings both virtually and in person.
