Lateral Aspect is an independent creative agency founded in 1997, known for combining strategy, branding, creative campaigns, digital experiences and website work to help brands solve complex problems. The team works collaboratively across brand strategy, UX, UI, design, development and integrated campaigns for clients from a wide range of industries.

The agency is seeking a thoughtful, user-first UX Designer who is eager to create clear, useful and engaging digital experiences. This role suits someone who enjoys turning research and insights into practical design solutions that improve usability and deliver real value to users.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the UX/Web Director and Art Directors to help shape and drive projects from early discovery through wireframes, prototypes, user journeys and final UI output.
• Develop digital experiences that are easy to use, visually strong and built with accessibility, usability and precision in mind.
• Run user research, stakeholder workshops and usability testing to gather insights that guide design direction.
• Build customer journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes and polished interface designs for websites and other digital products.
• Work side by side with strategists, designers, developers, account managers and content specialists to bring projects from concept to launch.
• Confidently explain concepts and design choices to clients and other stakeholders.
• Help evolve design systems, keep digital outputs consistent and promote strong UX/UI standards.
• Continuously improve experiences by using user feedback, analytics, current trends and a strong eye for quality.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have many of the following strengths:

• Some previous experience in UX design or a closely related role is preferred, though not essential.
• A tertiary qualification in UX or a related discipline is preferred.
• A strong grasp of UX techniques such as research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping and usability testing.
• Advanced working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Suite.
• Good understanding of accessibility, responsive design and current digital best practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and explain design thinking clearly.
• Curiosity, empathy, a sharp eye for detail and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
