Role Summary
As an Account Executive, you will manage the full sales cycle, identify new opportunities, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and close deals across Acquia’s existing and prospect accounts. You will also work closely with internal teams and external partners to support pipeline generation, implementation, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, pursue, and close new business opportunities across Acquia’s account and prospect base.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and senior leaders.
- Understand prospect needs across multiple levels of an organization.
- Track competitor products and assess their advantages and weaknesses.
- Translate customer input into strategies that support growth and reduce competitive risk.
- Influence buying decisions while creating solutions that work for both the client and Acquia.
- Partner with Product Development, Account Management, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth delivery and account expansion.
- Own end-to-end sales responsibilities in an individual contributor role.
- Work collaboratively across departments in a culture of transparency and trust.
- Coordinate with channel partners and subject matter experts to create sales opportunities.
- Travel to client meetings when required.
- Collaborate with demand generation and marketing teams to build pipeline.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Proven experience in sales or client acquisition, ideally with CMS exposure.
- Track record of negotiating large strategic deals, including prospecting, proposal creation, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Experience working in a startup-style, fast-moving technology environment.
- Solid understanding of SaaS-based solution delivery.
- Confident presentation skills with the executive presence needed to speak to C-suite stakeholders and explain value across different levels of an organization.
