This is a permanent, full-time position within the Personal Lines department, supporting customers whose personal insurance needs are linked to commercial relationships.

The role sits at the point where personal and commercial insurance meet, offering a strong opportunity to build deeper technical knowledge. It is well suited to someone who wants to broaden their expertise and potentially progress into a future commercial insurance career.

You will partner closely with Commercial Account Directors and Executives, serving as a reliable contact for personal lines matters and offering timely, practical advice that helps protect customers and strengthen relationships.

What you will do

  • Provide high-quality service to commercially connected personal lines customers with professionalism, care, and efficiency.
  • Use active listening and structured conversations to understand customer needs in depth.
  • Complete thorough risk review and assess market options and cover solutions that match the customer’s circumstances.
  • Follow internal workflows, compliance requirements, and technical standards with accuracy.
  • Work in close coordination with Commercial Account Directors and Executives to support smooth service delivery and account retention.
  • Keep file notes and records clear, complete, and aligned with system procedures, including Applied Relay.
  • Identify situations involving vulnerable customers and respond appropriately, keeping fairness and protection at the forefront.
  • Act as the team’s personal lines knowledge resource and join customer meetings when required.
  • Own the quality of your work, learn from mistakes, ask questions where needed, and escalate issues quickly.
  • Help maintain a professional, collaborative, and solutions-led team culture.

What we are looking for

  • Preferred: CIP qualification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a personal lines role with strong knowledge of products and processes.
  • Experience arranging cover for non-standard policies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-first approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an analytical, investigative mindset.
  • A team-oriented approach with willingness to support colleagues and leaders.
  • Strong organisation and time management, with a dependable and productive working style.
  • Comfort taking initiative and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Awareness of fitness and probity requirements and the Minimum Competency Code.

What the employer offers

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Remote working opportunities.
  • Ongoing professional development.
  • The chance to contribute meaningfully within a growing and dynamic business.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
