Job description
The opportunity
This role is for a commercially driven account manager who enjoys creating opportunities, winning new business, and strengthening client partnerships. Based in Christchurch, it focuses on helping businesses across Canterbury grow through marketing and advertising solutions backed by Stuff’s audience reach, data, content, and commercial offerings.
The position is hands-on and market-facing rather than desk-based. You’ll spend time out meeting prospects, developing your network, and converting conversations into measurable business outcomes for local clients.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with businesses across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.
- Actively prospect, network, and pursue new commercial opportunities.
- Drive revenue through both new client acquisition and growth within existing accounts.
- Design tailored marketing and advertising solutions aligned to client objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
- Use market insights, audience information, and data to uncover opportunities and improve results.
- Monitor campaign outcomes and clearly communicate return on investment.
- Represent the business in the local market through events, networking, and industry engagement.
