The role requires hands-on knowledge of conveyor-based material movement and the operation of yard equipment to keep material flow steady and reliable.Core responsibilitiesRun and oversee conveyor systems to move coal and coke safely and efficiently.Handle yard activities such as building stockpiles, reclaiming material, and tracking inventory levels.Coordinate coke and coal reclaiming work so that downstream operations receive a continuous feed.Carry out regular checks on conveyors, belts, pulleys, idlers, chutes, and transfer points.Spot and escalate equipment issues, jams, material spillage, and any safety concerns.Follow all safety rules, lockout/tagout requirements, and housekeeping practices.Work with maintenance teams during equipment failures and scheduled shutdowns.Keep accurate shift logs, operating records, and material movement updates.Support effective yard planning so stockpiles are used well and material remains available when needed.Experience neededThe role suits someone who has already worked in material handling environments and is familiar with reclaiming operations involving coke and coal.
