AI Architect

Role Overview

This position is for an AI Architect who will design enterprise-scale, intelligent applications and platforms with AI embedded as a core element of the architecture. The role sits within a team focused on helping customers across Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates innovate with practical, scalable AI solutions.

What You Will Do

• Create the architecture for intelligent, enterprise-grade applications and platforms where AI is integrated from the start, not added later.
• Design complete solutions spanning application services, integration layers, data architecture, event-driven systems, security, and AI/ML components.
• Develop patterns for model integration, real-time and batch inference, feature and data pipelines, vector search, LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, evaluation services, and responsible AI controls.
• Advise teams on scalability, resilience, interoperability, observability, privacy, and compliance so the architecture supports both immediate delivery and long-term growth.
• Help engineering teams build, govern, and scale AI-enabled capabilities efficiently across products and customer use cases.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in software architecture for large distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven design, APIs, integration layers, and data platforms.
• Solid understanding of AI and ML architecture, including training flows, inference layers, model lifecycle design, and ML platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise generative AI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG patterns, tool usage, and orchestration frameworks.
• Ability to design secure, scalable application architectures that connect transactional systems, analytics platforms, and AI-powered services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, including containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, observability, resilience, and performance tuning.
• Experience creating reference architectures, design standards, and reusable technical patterns for AI-based product development.
• Strong grasp of data architecture, governance, metadata, privacy, and access patterns needed for trustworthy AI solutions.
• Ability to assess build-versus-buy options across models, platforms, data services, and integration tools, and explain the technical and business impact.
• Understanding of responsible AI, model governance, security controls, compliance needs, and guardrails for safe enterprise adoption.
• Experience running architecture reviews, shaping engineering roadmaps, and aligning technical direction across several teams or product areas.
• Clear communication skills for presenting complex architectural decisions to engineers, product leaders, and senior stakeholders.

About You

• You have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, with a proven record of designing and delivering complex systems.
• You approach problems systemically and can connect architecture decisions to platform strategy and business outcomes.
• You are a technical leader who drives alignment across teams even without formal authority.
• You are motivated by building durable, extensible systems.
• You stay up to date on emerging technologies, especially in AI, cloud, and distributed systems.
