Role overview

NTT DATA is looking for an experienced Alliances Manager who can lead external partnership relationships that support business goals. The position focuses on creating strong partner connections, encouraging joint value creation, and helping the company grow its competitive position.

In this role, you will work across internal teams and with outside partners to shape alliance strategies, support commercial agreements, and drive shared go-to-market activities. The role also requires attention to partner performance, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of alliance processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with strategic partners to promote collaboration and shared outcomes.
  • Assist in negotiating partnership agreements so the terms support business priorities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, and marketing to develop joint offers or solutions with partners.
  • Help drive the integration of partner technologies or services into company products or platforms.
  • Support go-to-market planning and campaign execution for joint offerings or solutions.
  • Track partner performance against agreed metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Spot opportunities to improve, deepen, or expand existing partnerships.
  • Contribute to improving partnership-related processes and workflows for better efficiency and impact.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on the strategic value and benefits of partnerships.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, competitor actions, and market opportunities that may affect alliances.
  • Support contract renewals and amendments throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Take on other related duties as needed.

Education and experience

A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

The role calls for substantial business development experience, ideally in an IT services environment, along with experience in channel sales or channel management. Candidates should also have a history of building and running alliance programs that generate revenue, and of working independently as well as with sales, marketing, and product teams to achieve alliance objectives.
