- Get anchors, pennant wires, and assorted buoys ready during barge mobilization.
- Inspect the mooring arrangement of the barge, including anchor winches and anchor wires, and share observations with the Barge Foreman.
- Lay out anchor locations based on the approved anchor plan; where no plan is available, coordinate the planning and marking of positions with senior team members.
- Track barge positioning while anchors are relocated on the seabed with Anchor Handling Tugs (AHTS) so the vessel remains correctly aligned throughout the lay process.

- Oversee tower operations, including running anchors and managing barge movement on anchors.
- Keep anchor-handling records and related documentation updated according to vessel procedures.
- Regularly inspect anchors, buoys, and pennant wires, and confirm anchor placement once the barge is in service.
- Assist the Barge Foreman with deck work whenever anchor-related tasks are limited.
- Follow section rules, company procedures, the Policy of Integrity, the Code of Conduct, and all HSE requirements.
Education and certification
A Secondary School Certificate plus a trade- or discipline-related technical qualification, or an equivalent credential, is required.

- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
