About the Role
Boeing Global Services is seeking an Apache Mechanical Technician specializing in Avionics to join the AH-64E Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team (MAT) at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness of the AH-64E aircraft for the Qatar Air Force. Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance on the AH-64E's electrical, avionics, armament, fire control, radar, visionics, and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) systems and components, adhering to QAF-specific technical manuals and directives.
- Diagnose and rectify malfunctions in aircraft systems and components, including solid-state and transistorized devices, following technical manuals, directives, and safety protocols.
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, implement authorized modifications, and perform alignments on AH-64E weapons components, fire control/radar units, sighting elements/visionics, ASE, and various electronic, mechanical, and instrument systems.
- Utilize standard and precision measuring tools, as well as alignment fixtures, to perform assigned tasks.
- Handle AH-64E aircraft ammunition, manage weapon system loading/unloading, arming/disarming procedures, and perform weapon subsystem configuration changes for all AH-64E weapons and fire control systems within the scope of the Statement of Work.
- Perform operational checks on aircraft systems.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft systems test sets and diagnostic equipment.
- Support the Qatar Air Force in requisitioning and maintaining shop and bench stock inventory for the repair of AH-64E armament, ASE, electrical, avionics, instrument, fire control, radar, and visionic systems.
- Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with aircraft subsystems using specialized tools and equipment.
- Operate and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools, Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).
- Complete and maintain aircraft maintenance forms and records.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to QAF personnel on the use of technical publications, tools, test equipment, AGSE, PGSE, and special equipment related to AH-64E Electrical/Avionics/Armament/Fire Control/ASE maintenance, aiming to develop their proficiency.
- Coordinate training activities.
- Work under general direction, requiring initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Be prepared to travel on short notice, both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical/Avionics/Armament/Fire Control/Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Technician specifically on the AH-64 D/E aircraft.
- At least 3 years of experience utilizing the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A(E)) or a comparable aviation maintenance management system.
- Must have successfully completed an appropriate U.S. Government armed forces aircraft avionics/armament/fire control/ASE maintenance course or an equivalent civilian training program. Equivalent contractor factory training or other industry-recognized training will be evaluated and approved by the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) or their designated representative and/or the Government Furnished Representative (GFR).
- Ability to work 100% onsite at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

Eligibility
This position is open to individuals with the required technical experience and qualifications. Applicants must be able to satisfy all Qatari labor and immigration formalities. The employer is willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Prior experience working in the Southwest Asia/desert region is a plus. Army Service School Instructor or civilian equivalent instructing experience is also desirable.
Education Required
Completion of an appropriate U.S. Government armed forces aircraft avionics/armament/fire control/ASE maintenance course or civilian equivalent training is required. Contractor factory training or other equivalent industry training will be considered.
