About the University

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is Qatar’s first national university focused on applied, technical, and professional education. Established under Emiri Decision No. 13 of 2022, it offers more than 70 bachelor's and master's programs, diplomas, and certificates across five colleges: Business, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, and General Education. Role Summary

The Application Specialist (ERP) will support and improve UDST’s ERP environment, with responsibility across key functional areas such as Campus Solutions, HCM, and Finance. This role involves hands-on application support, issue resolution, requirements gathering, solution design, system maintenance, and coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors to keep ERP services reliable and aligned with policy and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, support, and resolve issues in ERP functional areas including Campus Solutions, HCM, and Finance.
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, build, implementation, and documentation of IT applications that support day-to-day ERP operations.
  • Review business needs, document requirements, and help design, test, and maintain data-processing solutions for ERP improvement.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to create procedures that protect ERP and database integrity.
  • Ensure ERP practices follow ITIL standards and both internal and external data-management rules and policies.
  • Manage user access across different levels according to approved policies and processes.
  • Translate end-user needs into practical data-processing solutions across all functional modules.
  • Plan and deliver ERP support initiatives, making sure tasks and projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Investigate application and database problems and coordinate with business users, technical teams, and vendors to close issues quickly.
  • Prepare ERP-related reports, monitor compliance with ITIL requirements, and help develop and deliver training materials for ERP users.
  • Stay current with UDST-approved programming languages, applications, tools, and emerging technology trends, ensuring solutions reflect best practices.
  • Carry out other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related field and bring at least 5 years of relevant experience in IT or a similar area.

Language Requirements

Strong command of written and spoken English is required. Arabic fluency is preferred.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Doha, Qatar. The role is focused on ERP support and functional application management within a university environment.
