About the Role
Richmond Bell Architects, a chartered architecture practice in Salisbury, is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist for a six-month contract. The role focuses on project delivery within a friendly and collaborative team, working on a variety of bespoke residential projects including new builds, heritage refurbishments, and barn conversions. The practice has a passion for innovative and sustainable design, with projects spanning Wiltshire, the South West, London, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop design proposals and prepare planning application documentation.
- Create detailed technical drawings for Building Regulations approval and construction purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of tender packages.
- Support project execution through RIBA Stages 2 to 4.
- Liaise with internal teams and external consultants.
- Contribute to design evolution and resolve technical challenges.
- Aid in the development of Revit models.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist in the UK.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit within a professional setting.
- Demonstrated experience in producing comprehensive technical information and drawing sets.
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
- Previous involvement in residential projects, encompassing new builds and/or heritage properties.
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
- A proactive and collaborative work ethic with meticulous attention to detail.
- A keen interest in sustainable and low-energy architectural design.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Must possess the legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not provided.
