Role overview

As an Area Manager B2B, you will take ownership of a territory’s business performance. The role involves acquiring new institutional customers, managing relationships with existing accounts, working closely with channel partners, and driving overall growth across schools and learners in the assigned region.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the assigned territory and drive business development within it.
  • Win new institutional customers and grow the customer base.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to increase business value.
  • Plan and run marketing and learner activation initiatives across the territory.
  • Identify, build, and manage channel partners who can create demand or support sales.
  • Follow up on collections and ensure dues from customers and partners are received on time.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through regular communication and visits.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, academic delivery, and marketing to ensure smooth implementation at customer campuses.
  • Track customer feedback, address issues proactively, and support timely resolution of problems.
  • Handle school onboarding documentation, collect advance payments as per policy, and support school engagement as required.
  • Keep CRM entries, reporting formats, and all documentation updated on a daily basis.
  • Work in a highly field-driven environment that requires full-time travel and a six-day work week.

Experience and qualifications

  • Graduation in any stream is required.
  • An MBA or PGDBM is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Prior B2B sales experience of 2 to 8 years is required.

Additional role requirements

  • The job is entirely field-based.
  • Working days are six per week.
  • The role requires regular travel across the assigned geography.
