Job Summary
This role calls for an experienced Area Manager who can oversee logistics and retail functions across the assigned region. The position is focused on improving operational efficiency, strengthening store performance, and ensuring smooth supply chain execution. The right candidate will bring solid experience in logistics, retail operations, and team leadership, along with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
Logistics Operations
- Manage the full logistics cycle for the assigned area from end to end.
- Drive on-time, cost-efficient deliveries while keeping transport spending under control.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to improve inventory flow and maintain healthy stock availability.
Retail Operations
- Oversee retail branches to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and customer service standards high.
- Roll out retail initiatives that support revenue growth, lower operating costs, and improve the customer experience.
- Track store performance data and make adjustments to improve results where needed.
Team Leadership
- Guide, inspire, and manage a varied team of logistics and retail staff.
- Offer direction, coaching, and training so the team can perform at a strong level.
- Create a supportive and collaborative workplace that promotes fresh ideas and ongoing improvement.
Performance Monitoring
- Review logistics and retail outcomes regularly against defined KPIs.
- Build and implement action plans to fix weak spots and make the most of existing strengths.
Client Management
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients while responding to their logistics and retail requirements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to design tailored solutions that improve client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, plus a strong background in logistics and retail management with demonstrated leadership experience. A deep understanding of supply chain operations, stock control, and retail best practices is important, along with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced setting is also essential.
