Role Overview

The Art Director will lead the visual direction of the agency’s creative output. This position calls for someone who can pair strategic thinking with strong design leadership to craft striking, effective visuals for digital and traditional channels. It is suited to a fast-moving, high-energy environment where original ideas need to become polished, audience-focused campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Set and steer the visual identity for agency work across social media, marketing productions, and broader design deliverables, including web, print, video, and film.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop the design team by giving clear direction, reviewing output, building capability, and assigning work efficiently.
  • Partner with content and marketing teams to turn brand goals into clear and persuasive creative concepts.
  • Shape and maintain complete brand systems, including visual identities and brand guidelines for both new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate closely with production and camera teams to ensure strong visual execution in film and video projects.
  • Establish and uphold professional design standards while encouraging collaboration, fresh thinking, and creative experimentation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Art Director or in a comparable creative leadership position, with evidence of building and managing design teams.
  • Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD, as well as Figma.
  • Working knowledge of video production and motion graphics tools such as After Effects or similar software.
  • Strong awareness of Saudi and Gulf audience preferences, local content sensitivity, and regional cultural norms.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal presentation skills, with the ability to explain and sell creative ideas clearly.
  • Strong organizational ability, effective prioritization, and familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com or Asana.

Additional Advantages

  • Hands-on exposure to film production, video work, and art direction for commercial advertisements.
  • Practical understanding of production gear such as cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Experience leading mixed teams that include designers, video editors, and technical crew members.
  • Comfort working with content strategies that combine written and visual elements.
  • Current awareness of broadcasting and platform requirements for Netflix, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
