About the Role

The Marketing team is looking for an Art Director who can turn the Fashion Creative Director’s strategy into striking visual work for campaigns and content across the Myer Group. This is a practical, hands-on creative position that connects big-picture direction with production delivery, helping shape brand stories through photography, video and social-led content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of art direction across photo and video shoots from the initial brief through to final handover.
  • Guide on-set creative choices such as set styling, talent direction, lighting, composition and overall visual quality to maintain brand standards.
  • Work alongside videographers and editors to develop video concepts and take them through to the finished edit while preserving brand consistency.
  • Create content ideas designed specifically for social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and other digital channels.
  • Convert creative strategy into distinctive, brand-aligned visual ideas that reflect each label’s identity, values and seasonal direction.
  • Prepare detailed shoot briefs, mood boards and reference material that clearly communicate the creative direction to internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, digital editors and producers to keep projects running smoothly and to a high creative standard.
  • Partner with content and social teams to tailor output for the right platform, format and audience.
  • Work with Category Marketing and Buying teams so creative work reflects commercial priorities and in-season needs.
  • Maintain consistent visual language across campaign, editorial, digital, social, in-store and wholesale touchpoints.

About You

You bring at least 6 years of art direction experience in fashion, retail or lifestyle settings, either in an agency or in-house environment. You should have a strong portfolio that shows high-quality visual storytelling across still photography, motion and social media content. Confidence working across social-first formats is important, as is a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Premiere Pro or After Effects would be an advantage.
