Role overview

The Art Supervisor works closely with Copy, Strategy, Client Services, and Project Management to develop and deliver integrated creative for healthcare brands. This person oversees visual development from early concepting through production, making sure the work stays strategically sound, medically accurate, and polished to a high creative standard. The role also includes mentoring junior creatives and taking part in client presentations and creative workshops.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and art direct integrated campaigns aimed at healthcare professionals across print, digital, video, social, and interactive formats using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Guide visual development for brand campaigns from concept through production-ready assets alongside Copy and Strategy partners.
  • Present creative ideas and the thinking behind them to clients and other stakeholders, then refine work based on feedback.
  • Protect brand consistency and help ensure regulatory, medical, and production accuracy across all deliverables in partnership with Medical, Regulatory, and Client Services teams.
  • Coach and support junior designers and art directors through feedback, performance guidance, and craft development.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in an advertising agency, with a portfolio that shows integrated healthcare or pharmaceutical campaign work.
  • Proven ability to develop HCP-focused creative across multiple channels, supported by live production examples.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with Figma.
  • Experience presenting concepts directly to clients and senior stakeholders, including leading sections of campaign or brand presentations.
  • Background in mentoring or managing junior creatives, with examples of coaching, feedback, and project supervision.
  • Openness to using AI as part of the everyday workflow.
  • Familiarity with U.S. pharmaceutical regulatory processes and collaboration with Medical and Regulatory review teams is preferred.
  • Experience shaping visual identity systems or leading brand refresh work for healthcare brands is preferred.
  • Motion, 3D, or video art direction experience using tools such as After Effects or comparable software is preferred.
  • Industry recognition or published work that reflects a high standard of craft is preferred.

Additional information

This is a newly created position at Klick.

The salary range for this role is CAD 100,000 to CAD 120,000 per year. The final offer will depend on factors such as work location, skill set, education, and prior experience.
