About Blum Ventures
Blum Ventures is the venture arm of Blum, a family-owned company known globally for innovative furniture fittings used in premium furniture. Its product range includes flap, hinge, pull-out, and pocket systems. Through Blum Ventures, the company is actively shaping its future by identifying new technologies, building new business models, and opening up additional revenue streams via strategic startup investments and the creation of internal ventures.
In this position, you will help take the unit to the next level in terms of technology, data use, and operational execution. The role brings together AI expertise, automation, and entrepreneurial thinking to create measurable value across investment and venture-building activities.
Your Role
- Monitor the AI landscape in depth and identify when artificial intelligence can create real value, when lean automation is the better fit, and when human judgment should lead the decision.
- Further develop venture processes with a strong data focus, covering deal flow, due diligence, portfolio oversight, and structured venture-building workflows.
- Work with the team to establish the AI and data foundation of the unit, ensuring dependable data quality, a sensible system setup, and practical AI-enabled workflows.
- Help teammates adopt AI in day-to-day work through experimentation, hands-on use cases, and pragmatic solutions.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven expertise in AI and automation, with the ability to assess technological trends thoroughly and explain them clearly.
- A data-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, while understanding that exceptional founders cannot always be identified by numbers alone.
- Experience in the startup, venture capital, or venture-building environment is welcome, along with practical experience using AI tools, APIs, Python, or low-code/no-code solutions.
- Interest in growing over time into topics such as venture capital, venture building, and other strategic future-focused areas at Blum Ventures.
Additional Information
Work location: Berlin, Germany, or Hohenems in Vorarlberg, Austria.
