The role combines work across machine learning, natural language processing, image recognition, and modern engineering tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and large language models. The environment emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Further develop the chat translation tool, including intuitive React interfaces and integration with the translation AI.
• Build AI pipelines for document extraction and document classification using OCR and NLP.
• Design and implement microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
• Create high-performance React frontends with TypeScript and JavaScript, including testing and automated builds.
• Help shape internal AI management tools for rollout, monitoring, and version control.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional web development experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of React, TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with chat translation solutions and/or AI-based document extraction and classification.
• Solid greenfield experience, or a strong drive to build a complete AI platform from the ground up.
• Understanding of MLOps workflows, including model registry and monitoring, as well as performance tuning.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to carry ideas through to launch.
• Commitment to clean code and the principle of building and running what you create.
• Strong interest in web and backend technologies.
• Fluent German speaking and comprehension skills.
• Preferred: experience designing REST APIs.
• Preferred: experience with Git-based CI/CD, for example GitHub Actions.
• Preferred: cloud operations experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
