Role overview

As an Assistant Department Manager, you will help create an excellent customer experience while supporting day-to-day store performance. You will work closely with team members to improve productivity, maintain strong standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide, coach, and support team members so they can work more effectively, stay engaged, and remain with the team longer.
  • Keep merchandising and operational practices aligned with store expectations.
  • Support and monitor financial goals for the department.
  • Identify and help attract strong candidates to strengthen the team.
  • Help build a diverse team culture where inclusion and belonging are part of everyday work.

What you should bring

  • A helpful, respectful approach when handling questions or concerns.
  • Interest in learning new things and providing a consistently positive customer experience.
  • Availability for varied shifts, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Ability to regularly move up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout an entire shift.
  • Strong people leadership qualities.
  • A proven history of delivering great customer service.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Retail experience is considered an advantage.

Compensation
