Role Overview
The Associate HR Manager will oversee essential employee processes, programs, and operational work that shape the employee experience across Farmacy Beauty and Each & Every. This person will act as a key operational partner to the broader organization, handling day-to-day people operations while also driving initiatives that strengthen engagement, communication, and organizational efficiency.

The role requires a blend of strategy, execution, collaboration, and operational discipline, and reports to the Director, Human Resources for Farmacy + Each & Every.
Employee Lifecycle Operations
- Handle employee operations end to end, including onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and exit administration.
- Maintain employee files and records, and keep HR systems updated and accurate.
- Coordinate equipment and systems setup with IT for new hires and internal changes.
- Process background screening and employment verification requests.
Payroll and Benefits
- Run the bi-weekly payroll process with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Work with Finance and outside payroll partners to address discrepancies, maintain records, and assist with reporting.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee education.
- Partner with brokers and vendors on wellbeing initiatives and on improving benefit offerings and administration.
Employee Support and Experience
- Act as the main contact for employee questions about policies, benefits, payroll, systems, and general people operations support.
- Provide a responsive, high-touch service experience while maintaining consistency and compliance in all processes.
People Programs and Projects
- Support and lead cross-functional people initiatives, including engagement programs, culture events, performance management support, and internal communications.
- Drive process improvements, policy rollouts, and operational change management efforts.
- Monitor timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder updates to keep projects on track.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies.
- Look for ways to improve workflows, documentation, systems, and employee-facing processes to increase efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
Recruiting and Talent Operations Support
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for designated positions.
- Source candidates, oversee ATS activity, coordinate interviews, and work with hiring managers throughout the process.
- With guidance from the Director and in partnership with Brand Marketing, help manage the company’s LinkedIn presence and employer brand content, including posts that highlight culture, employee moments, team milestones, and People initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with People, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of employee processes and initiatives.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the organization.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in beauty or consumer goods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect effectively with employees at every level.
- Hands-on experience with onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee support processes.
- Practical experience using HRIS, payroll, benefits, and recruiting platforms such as ADP, UpWork, and Workable.
- Excellent organization and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Resourceful problem-solving ability and comfort working through ambiguity.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Must be able to commute to the New York City office at least 2 days per week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship; immigration sponsorship is not offered for this position.

- Estimated annual salary range of $71,000 to $90,000, depending on market location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
