Expressive Design Group works in the consumer products space, with a focus on creative and high-quality gift packaging that delivers strong value. The company develops and manufactures its own branded products and also creates private-label items for major retail partners. Its products are sold through independent retailers, regional chains, and large national stores including Walmart, Menards, Kohl’s, and Target.
Role Overview
The company is looking for a detail-focused Photography Assistant to support the in-house Lead Photographer. This position suits someone who stays organized, takes initiative, and can juggle several priorities in a busy creative setting. The role requires experience with Adobe Creative Suite, comfort working on a Mac, and the ability to build and refine mock-ups. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Support photo shoots through preparation, setup, coordination, organization, and post-production work
- Create photography layouts as directed by the Art Director and Lead Photographer
- Retouch and edit images in Adobe Photoshop
- Maintain orderly digital files and asset libraries
- Handle several projects at once, each with different deadlines and requirements
- Assist with prototyping when needed by producing mock-ups through printing, cutting, adhesive mounting, 3D assembly, and finishing steps
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational ability
- Capacity to work independently and take initiative with limited supervision
- Solid command of Adobe Photoshop; broader Adobe Creative Suite experience is an advantage
- Prior photography experience is required
- Ability to stay flexible and manage changing priorities across multiple assignments
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams
- Self-driven, collaborative, and able to anticipate needs
- Experience working on a Mac platform
- Ability to assemble mock-ups and support prototyping tasks
