Role Overview
The Public Sector Division is hiring a full-time Assistant Project Manager in New York, NY. This opportunity is aimed at a recent graduate or a professional with around 1 to 3 years of relevant experience who is ready to build a long-term career path in construction project management. The role supports the Project Executive and Project Manager(s) with administrative and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle, from bid preparation to final client acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contract drawings and specifications.
- Perform drawing take-offs.
- Coordinate and track RFIs and submittals.
- Monitor third-party testing results.
- Collect subcontractor requisitions.
- Prepare action lists and follow-up items.
- Assist with developing and maintaining the construction schedule.
- Support punch list preparation and other closeout activities.
- Maintain the potential change order log, including items arising from RFI responses and field conditions.
- Keep project records well organized, accurate, and current.
Qualifications and Preferences
Ideal candidates are recent college graduates or professionals with 1 to 3 years of related experience. OSHA 30 is preferred, and additional OSHA training or CMIT certification is welcomed.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The advertised pay range is USD 55,000 to USD 95,000 per year for New York, NY.
