Role Summary
The Assistant Project Manager position is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Nanuet, NY. In this role, you will support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination, schedule monitoring, and delivery of milestones, inspections, and project outputs. The position also includes handling material and equipment follow-ups, vendor coordination, and logistics support tied to project execution.
Core Duties
You will help keep projects moving by maintaining documentation, preparing progress updates, assisting with inspections and quality reviews, and sharing status information with both internal teams and outside partners. The role also involves identifying issues early, working toward practical resolutions, keeping records well organized, and helping ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring a solid base in project coordination, including scheduling, task follow-through, documentation, and managing communication across several stakeholders. Familiarity with expediting work, such as monitoring orders, tracking deliveries, and addressing delays, is important. A working knowledge of inspection support, logistics coordination, and material flow is also expected.
Strong organization and time-management abilities are needed to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting professionally with clients, vendors, and internal colleagues. Candidates should be comfortable using office and project-tracking software, including spreadsheets and standard productivity tools.
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent relevant experience may also be considered. The role requires an on-site presence in Nanuet, NY, along with a reliable, professional, and collaborative approach.
