Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager with the full range of daily store activities. This includes driving sales performance, guiding and developing the store team, protecting brand and company standards, ensuring operational compliance, and delivering a strong customer experience. When the Store Manager is unavailable, this role takes charge of store operations and workforce coordination in alignment with Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the tone for outstanding customer service and help the team deliver memorable shopping experiences by understanding brand CX expectations, customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Motivate the store team to consistently provide a high standard of service.
• Maintain effective working relationships with support functions and share timely, relevant feedback with Marketing, Buying, and Planning teams.
• Support sales growth by taking ownership of KPI targets and looking for practical ways to improve business performance.
• Oversee the execution of sales promotions and brand initiatives, and coordinate with support teams to help maximize sales results.
• Work closely with Buying and Planning to identify and capture additional sales opportunities.
• Keep store operations running efficiently when the Store Manager is away, and respond quickly to any disruption that could affect business continuity.
• Apply and monitor company policies and operational guidelines to reduce stock loss and damage.

Requirements

• High school qualification or diploma.
• Retail-related education is considered an advantage.
• 4 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong people management and leadership ability.
