Role Overview

This position supports the growth and day-to-day running of tMart, the company’s grocery cloud-store model. The Assistant Store Supervisor helps oversee store activities during shifts and ensures smooth execution across receiving, stocking, order preparation, inventory control, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the store’s end-to-end operations during assigned shifts, including team coordination, ordering, receiving goods, stocking shelves, and preparing and packing orders.
  • Support the Store Supervisor with staffing tasks such as hiring support, shift planning, and routine or preventive maintenance coordination.
  • Assist with replenishment planning by helping maintain adequate stock levels, avoiding stockouts and overstock situations, and preparing orders based on demand inputs and physical stock checks.
  • Help maintain strong inventory controls by participating in stock counting, cycle counts, and scheduled stock-taking activities to keep records accurate.
  • Ensure incoming goods are received correctly and in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Make sure outbound order picking and packing are completed accurately and efficiently according to SOPs.
  • Monitor fulfillment performance and suggest improvements that can raise productivity and profitability.
  • Support efforts to reduce store shrinkage and related losses.
  • Promote compliance with hygiene, sanitation, security, safety, and service standards while maintaining a high level of internal and external customer service.
  • Raise operational issues with the Store Supervisor and contribute practical solutions.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a supermarket or restaurant environment.
  • Comfort with learning on the job and adapting to changing situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on working style.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across different cultures.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.

Additional Information

The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is a full-time, on-site position.
