About Allies of Skin
Founded in 2016 by formulator Nicolas Travis, Allies of Skin was inspired by his personal recovery journey after severe facial injuries. The brand develops highly effective skincare designed to deliver noticeable progress, repair, and support across different skin stages and concerns. Its products combine multifunctional formulas with strong concentrations of clinically backed actives to address complex issues efficiently and help skin perform at its best over time.
Role Overview
Allies of Skin is looking for an Associate CRM Manager to support the execution and improvement of customer experience programs across email, SMS, loyalty, and service-related touchpoints. This position will help run day-to-day CRM and loyalty activities, including campaign briefing and execution, audience segmentation, performance monitoring, and implementing enhancements planned with the Senior CRM Manager.
The role uses customer data, reporting, and feedback to improve lifecycle journeys, increase personalization, and strengthen retention. It is well suited to someone who is hands-on, highly organized, and motivated to build customer-focused initiatives. You will collaborate closely with marketing, product, creative, insights, and customer experience teams to support a unified customer strategy.
Email, SMS, and Campaign Execution
You will prepare concise briefs for creative and brand partners so they can build assets for upcoming CRM campaigns and automations. The role also involves creating and launching automated, lifecycle, and campaign flows in Klaviyo or a comparable ESP, while handling segmentation, personalization, and quality checks. You will work with creative and marketing teams to ensure all messaging stays aligned with the brand direction.
CRM Strategy and Optimization
In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, you will help support go-to-market CRM programs across the full customer journey. You will review customer behavior, engagement results, and CRM performance metrics to find opportunities for improvement, and you will support A/B and multivariate testing to drive ongoing optimization.
Loyalty Program Development and Management
You will contribute to the development of the brand’s loyalty strategy, including tier design, rewards, communications, and roadmap planning. The role includes coordination with vendors and internal teams to connect loyalty capabilities across digital channels, as well as monitoring program health, participation, and return on investment to recommend practical enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working with the Senior CRM Manager, you will help refine audience segments that enable more personalized communication. You will also make sure CRM and loyalty work supports broader business objectives and contributes to customer lifetime value.
Customer Insights and Experience
You will help manage escalated customer service tickets together with customer experience teams. The role includes reviewing customer sentiment patterns, preparing reports and insights that support product education and service improvements, and partnering with the social community team to surface sentiment trends and translate them into updates across direct-to-consumer digital touchpoints. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 1 to 3+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing, with beauty, wellness, or direct-to-consumer experience preferred. Practical experience with Klaviyo or a similar ESP such as Iterable, Braze, or Attentive is important, and experience supporting or managing loyalty programs is strongly preferred.
Applicants should bring strong analytical ability, comfort working with tools such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Attentive, and loyalty platforms like Yotpo, and familiarity with customer journey mapping, segmentation, and performance reporting. Strong project management, cross-functional communication, self-management, prioritization, and ownership are essential, along with a proactive approach to problem solving and clear communication.
Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation and should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Why Allies of Skin
Benefits include a competitive salary, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, and a flexible work setup with hybrid options. The company also offers generous paid time off, paid holidays, a paid birthday day off, a 401(k) plan with company match, exclusive employee product perks, and a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to USD 100,000 per year in Los Angeles, California.
