The role is focused on leading the setup, delivery, and day-to-day running of a broad risk management service in support of the PMO commission. It also involves providing leadership, direction, and guidance to people across the client organisation, the PMO team, and the wider business where needed.

- Serve as a dependable advisor and technical authority while developing strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Guide clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all matters related to risk management.
- Carry out quantitative risk analysis for both cost and schedule, and advise on whether contingency allowances are sufficient within reporting cycles.
- Make sure work complies with Mace Control Centre requirements, client obligations, and all relevant laws and regulations.
- Support junior risk managers through line management, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Promote innovation and keep methods aligned with leading industry practice to deliver high-quality service.
- Embed sustainability by incorporating carbon risk considerations into project delivery and supporting the transition toward net zero.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in risk management on large, complex construction projects.
- Strong command of risk tools, methods, and reporting platforms.
- Well-developed planning, analytical, and communication abilities.
- A relevant degree together with chartered status or professional membership.
