Role overview

This HR role is based in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and is a full-time onsite position. The Associate Lead - HR supports the wider people function by managing employee-related services, assisting managers, and keeping core HR operations running effectively. The position centers on the employee journey, HR initiatives, and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

The selected professional will coordinate and deliver onboarding and offboarding activities, serve as a contact person for new joiners and employees leaving the organization, and help employees with HR-related queries. The role also includes supporting engagement and wellbeing efforts, encouraging performance and development, and contributing to productivity across the workforce.

In addition, the role involves supporting the rollout of HR policies, processes, and initiatives, taking part in HR projects and surveys, and assisting with strategy implementation. The Associate Lead HR will back managers on employee-related matters, handle conflict situations, disciplinary matters, and investigations, and support talent management and retention programs.

Other duties include contributing to change management and process improvement work, helping communicate organizational changes, maintaining HR documentation such as contracts and letters, managing employee records and HR systems, and carrying out day-to-day HR administration.

Qualifications and skills

A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. The company is looking for someone with several years of HR or closely related experience, along with initial exposure to German labor law. Experience in a matrix organization is also needed. Strong communication and people skills, the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly, and a structured, detail-focused work style are important. Fluency in both English and German is expected.
