Role overview

This position is responsible for shaping and delivering strong marketing plans and promotional content for a specialty portfolio. The role works across functions to build and execute strategic initiatives that support brand ambitions and long-term commercial growth. Key responsibilities

  • Create and implement the marketing plan and associated activities for the assigned specialty portfolio.
  • Spot business opportunities with a 2–4 year outlook and contribute to long-range forecasting.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align planning and delivery.
  • Prepare the marketing communication plan and obtain approvals for educational and promotional assets in line with local SOPs and applicable policies.
  • Coordinate customer-facing activities end to end to deliver consistent brand management and a seamless customer experience.
  • Support the sales team by helping train the field force on core brand, portfolio, and promotional messages.
  • Allocate resources efficiently according to agreed priorities.
  • Lead brand and portfolio forecasting with cross-functional partners and ensure supply planning is appropriate.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in building and executing initiatives that advance brand and financial goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee sponsorship of local congresses and work with relevant healthcare societies to support advocacy and reputation.
  • Spend more than half of the working time in the field to connect with customers, assist the sales team, and stay close to market trends and insights.

Required qualifications

  • Must be a Saudi national.
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy with a valid SCFHS registration or classification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Saudi Arabia.
  • A proven track record of strong and consistent performance in prior roles.

Preferred background

  • At least 1 year of experience in a marketing role, either in a permanent position or assignment, or equivalent experience in a senior customer-facing role such as SAM/VAM.
  • Experience launching brands or indications.
  • Background in specialty therapy areas.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Master’s degree in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage.
