Job description
Role Overview
This position sits in the Production department as an Associate in the manufacturing team at Greater Aurangabad. The role supports production activities across granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Duties
- Follow cGMP, GxP, EH&S, and all other relevant regulatory requirements at all times.
- Complete SOP training and build a clear understanding of the assigned task before beginning work.
- Carry out activities strictly in line with the applicable SOPs and escalate any difficulty or deviation to the immediate supervisor or manager.
- Share any quality-related concern or process improvement idea with supervisors or managers.
- Support manufacturing and processing of assigned batches under supervision according to the instructions in the BMR.
- Handle and move raw materials, bulk material, semi-finished goods, and finished goods as required.
- Operate, wash, and clean equipment and accessories used in production tasks according to the relevant SOPs.
- Maintain production areas and machines in GMP-compliant condition.
- Support Quality Management Systems and report any discrepancy, abnormality, non-conformance, or incident to the Department Head and QA Head.
- Receive RM and PM from the warehouse and ensure the production area remains clean and orderly.
- Perform production operations as per SOPs and BMR, with online entries made in the required records and documents.
- Maintain personal hygiene before entering the production area and follow all HR rules and regulations.
- Carry out in-process checks as defined in the BMR and record the results in the appropriate documents.
- Participate in training programs to meet current cGMP, job, safety, health, and hygiene requirements.
- Support cost-effective production by controlling overtime, reducing revenue expenses, and achieving standard yield.
- Monitor environmental conditions closely to ensure they remain within BMR and SOP standards.
- Ensure manufacturing equipment and instruments are calibrated and maintained preventively as per the approved schedule.
- Perform line clearance during batch-to-batch and product-to-product changeovers and ensure SOP compliance.
- Manage issuance, retrieval, and destruction of dies and punches, product-dedicated bags and sieves, silicon sleeves, pipes, hose pipes, and screens.
- Help maintain audit readiness and compliance.
- Troubleshoot machine and process issues whenever needed.
- Take on any other responsibility assigned by the Production Head.
- Attend required cGMP, on-the-job, and functional training sessions as per the training planner.
Experience
The role calls for 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing operations.
Education
A Diploma is required for this position.
