Job description

Role overview

MongoDB is hiring an Associate Recruiter for its Talent Discovery team in the United States. This role offers the chance to grow into a hiring subject matter expert across both technical and non-technical functions, supporting shifting business priorities and critical openings as they emerge. The position combines proactive talent sourcing with full-cycle recruiting and suits someone who enjoys learning quickly, adapting to change, and building a career in technical recruiting.

What you will do

  • Drive strategic sourcing for priority roles and adjust quickly as hiring needs change across different parts of the business.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting support for a wide mix of positions, including niche technical roles and non-technical roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand team needs, assess external talent markets, and advise stakeholders on hiring strategy.
  • Work with coordinators, interviewers, and hiring managers to create a smooth, personalized, high-touch experience for candidates.
  • Promote fair and inclusive hiring by guiding stakeholders on effective hiring practices and reducing unconscious bias in decisions.
  • Perform talent mapping, market intelligence, and targeted pipeline-building to support evolving hiring requirements.
  • Strengthen long-term candidate engagement efforts by maintaining relationships with a broad community of prospects for future opportunities.

What the role calls for

  • Strong interest in building a career in technical recruiting; experience sourcing passive candidates for technical or sales roles is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Exposure to a technology-driven environment is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing strategies and best practices for building top-of-funnel candidate pipelines.
  • Creative sourcing approach and willingness to explore new channels through research and peer learning.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to research independently, use data to shape strategy, and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and time management, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a high-volume, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, with business-level English fluency.
  • Experience using Greenhouse and Gem is preferred but not required.
