About the Role

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional seeking to join a well-established and stable firm? Our client, a respected three-partner Chartered Accountancy practice in County Meath with over 30 years of experience serving a diverse clientele across various industries, is expanding its accounts services team. They are looking for a dedicated Audit Administrator to contribute to their continued growth. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to become part of a structured, friendly environment that prioritizes work-life balance, with the flexibility to work either full-time or part-time (3-4 days per week).

Audit File Preparation & Management

  • Prepare and manage audit packs and working paper files.
  • Ensure all files are complete, properly indexed, and adhere to firm templates.
  • Organize, upload, and archive client documentation according to firm procedures.
  • Conduct file housekeeping tasks, including finalization, archiving, and version control, after audits.
  • Perform basic audit testing under supervision.
  • Assist with data entry and populating audit working papers.
  • Follow up on outstanding client documentation.
  • Support with time and billing administration as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to managers.
  • Aid the audit team in projects, such as the implementation of new systems or processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a general accounting practice.
  • Familiarity with Accounting and Auditing Standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to build professional relationships and engage confidently with clients.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Demonstrated efficiency and proactivity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CCH Accounts Production, Excel (Intermediate), DRIVE (Practice Management and client database), Virtual Cabinet (Document Management System), Sage Line 50, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with Omnipro Working Papers is also beneficial.

Package & Benefits

  • Salary ranging from €35,000 to €40,000 (pro-rata).
  • Eligibility for a 10% bonus.
  • Hybrid working arrangements with an early finish on Fridays.
