AutoCAD Designer (Electrical)

Role overview

An established company in Australia is seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD Electrical Designer to support electrical switchboard design work. The role calls for someone who can combine technical accuracy with practical coordination across project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and keep up to date electrical switchboard drawings in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Prepare schematic diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Make sure all output aligns with relevant electrical standards and project requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and other involved stakeholders to move work forward smoothly.
• Check, revise, and improve existing drawings whenever changes are needed.
• Contribute to project delivery by maintaining precise and timely technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD Electrical for switchboard design.
• Solid understanding of electrical design fundamentals and industry standards.
• Good analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively.
• Clear communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
