Job description
About Davy
Davy has spent a century building its business around the contribution of its people. Since its establishment in 1926, the firm has grown into a major Irish provider of wealth and capital services for high-net-worth individuals, self-directed investors, SMEs, credit unions, corporates, and both local and international institutional clients.
The organisation is guided by three core principles: client success, one Davy, and building a proud legacy. Working within a team of more than 900 people, you will be supported to develop both professionally and personally while contributing to strong client outcomes.
Role Summary
This position is for an associate within the Banking Operations team in Dublin. The team manages day-to-day banking activity for Davy clients, including electronic banking, payment processing across multiple payment rails, transfers between Davy accounts, deposit account administration, and adherence to Client Asset Requirements (CAR).
Key Duties
- Carry out verification and quality checks on payments handled by the team, including pension payments, property-related expenses, and other ad hoc client transactions.
- Prepare and complete the daily automated EFT payment report.
- Monitor deposit transfers between Davy and partner institutions, post deposit interest, and resolve related queries.
- Process foreign exchange transactions on behalf of clients.
- Work with Group Risk and internal risk teams to reinforce a strong risk-aware culture.
- Support the team director with strategic initiatives and system enhancements aimed at improving capability.
- Assist colleagues as needed and provide cover for other team members when required.
- Follow all risk, compliance, policy, and procedural requirements relevant to the role.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and prioritise urgent tasks appropriately.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings a relevant third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar field, along with a strong interest in banking operations and payments. Prior banking or payment-processing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
Benefits and Workplace
Davy offers a competitive reward package including salary, bonus, pension, and other benefits designed to support employees and their families. Additional support includes health and wellness provisions, flexible working options, a flexible benefits allowance, learning and development opportunities, and assisted retirement planning.
Wellbeing is supported through an Employee Assistance Programme, mental health first aid, and sports and social initiatives. The workplace is inclusive and diverse, with a continued hybrid working model noted in the company’s wider benefits statement.
Important Notes
Davy is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from candidates of different backgrounds and experiences. Applicants who do not meet every requirement are still encouraged to apply. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged for candidates who need support during the interview process.
Appointment to this position depends on the candidate being eligible to work in Ireland. If agency support is required, the recruitment team will deal directly with approved suppliers; unsolicited CVs or profiles from agencies will not be accepted.
Davy Group is part of the Bank of Ireland Group.
