Job description
Role Overview
This part-time, on-call position is for a basketball official supporting games at Ramstein Air Base gymnasiums and sports facilities within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) in Germany.
Requirements
- A valid basketball officiating credential issued by a recognized body such as NCAA or NFHS.
- Hands-on experience officiating organized or intramural basketball.
- Solid familiarity with the current NCAA Basketball Rules.
- The ability to make prompt, impartial, and consistent rulings during play.
- Good English communication skills, including clear verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Officiate basketball games in line with NCAA regulations and Air Force Sports Program guidelines.
- Keep control of the court and help ensure players and coaches follow proper conduct standards.
- Manage or supervise scorekeeping and game timing systems when needed.
- Prepare and turn in game reports and score sheets to the Sports Program Manager after each game.
- Immediately inform the Sports Program Manager about injuries, misconduct, or game cancellations.
- Show up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start and wear the required official uniform.
