Job description

Role overview

We are looking for a guest-oriented Front Office professional who can help create a smooth, welcoming, and memorable stay for hotel guests. This position focuses on delivering attentive service, coordinating bell services, and supporting the front office team with a high standard of professionalism.

Key duties

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with front office colleagues, and greet arriving guests in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Work closely with the bell team and guide their daily activities.
  • Keep track of guest preferences and details using the Opera guest profile system.
  • Oversee bellboys so that luggage is moved efficiently from the arrival point to the room and back again during departure.
  • Receive, sort, safeguard, and deliver guest and employee messages, mail, and packages at the correct time, storing items in an organized and efficient manner when needed.
  • Set and manage the duty roster according to operational demand.
  • Stay updated on hotel facilities and services, then pass that information on to the team so they can answer guest questions accurately.

Education and experience

The role is best suited to someone with a diploma or degree in hospitality, or vocational training in a hotel front office environment. Strong English communication skills, solid interpersonal ability, and effective problem-solving skills are essential. Being comfortable with computers is important, and prior experience with Opera will be considered an advantage.

The right candidate will be highly guest-focused, proactive, energetic, and approachable, with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility. You should also be comfortable working with diverse people and able to adapt quickly in a busy hospitality setting.
