Role Overview

The organization is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to help keep residents’ homes and shared spaces in strong working order. The right person will be comfortable handling repairs, responding to urgent issues, and supporting renovation and upkeep work with a practical, hands-on approach.

Locations

  • Elbow 5 Eight, Southwest Calgary
  • Lakeside Estates, Southwest Calgary
  • The Circle, Southeast Calgary

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to maintenance requests within 72 hours.
  • Handle emergency repair calls when scheduled on call.
  • Complete maintenance and light touch-up work in vacant suites while meeting quality expectations.
  • Carry out general upkeep of building interiors, exteriors, and shared areas.
  • Work with the Customer Care team to inspect units that are being turned over.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and document findings.
  • Confirm that contractors finish work to the required standards.
  • Assist with snow clearing when needed.
  • Take on other duties and support additional sites as required.

Experience and Education

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance services is required.
  • Renovation experience of 3 years or more will be considered an advantage.

Technical and Communication Requirements

  • Strong spoken and written English skills are required.
  • Comfort with technology is considered an asset.

Physical and Working Conditions

  • You should be able to spend up to 8 hours a day walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting.
  • You must be capable of moving loads of up to 90 kg with appropriate equipment.
  • You need to be able to solve issues correctly on the first attempt.
  • A strong focus on customer service is expected.
  • Good time management is essential.
  • You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude, energy, and assertiveness are important for success in this role.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • You must have access to your own dependable vehicle.
  • All tools listed by the employer must be obtained before the end of probation; the tool list will be shared during the interview process.
