Role Overview
As a Business Analyst in the APAC Business Transformation Office, you will help deliver strategic and operational change initiatives across the Asset Management business in Asia. This position suits someone at an early stage of a transformation career who enjoys analysing business needs, shaping requirements, and supporting change delivery across teams.
You will partner with project managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to keep requirements clear, project activities coordinated, and communication flowing effectively. The role calls for strong analytical thinking, close attention to detail, and a practical, collaborative mindset.
Business Analysis and Requirements
- Collect, assess, and document business requirements for new projects and process improvements.
- Work with subject matter experts to understand existing processes, identify gaps, and define target-state workflows.
- Prepare business cases, scope documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
- Contribute to impact assessments and support solution conversations across different functions.
Project Coordination and Delivery Support
- Help project managers maintain schedules, monitor milestones, and track risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Support stakeholder updates by preparing reports, meeting packs, minutes, and action trackers.
- Organise workshops, working sessions, and SME discussions, ensuring follow-through and proper documentation.
- Assist in tracking delivery against timelines and budget, and raise any concerns when required.
Change and Implementation Support
- Assist with readiness work such as training content, communications, and user engagement activities.
- Support testing activities, including UAT planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Help ensure project outcomes are transitioned smoothly into business-as-usual operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, and team working practices.
- Support the use of transformation frameworks and methods across APAC where relevant.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or change support, preferably within financial services.
- Strong analytical ability and a structured approach to solving problems.
- Capability to write clear requirements, workflows, and functional specifications.
- Comfort working across teams and building effective working relationships.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to handle several priorities at once.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and Visio is useful.
- Experience in asset management, investment operations, or financial markets, along with knowledge of APAC market practices and regulations, will be an advantage.
