Role overview

This part-time, remote Business Analyst opportunity is designed for an early-career professional who wants to help shape data-informed decisions and support sustainability-focused business work. The position centers on analyzing information, preparing reports, and spotting patterns, risks, and opportunities across projects and operations.

What you'll do

You will work with internal teams to clarify needs, capture business requirements, and contribute to business planning and process improvements. The role also includes building presentations, keeping dashboards up to date, and communicating clearly with customers and stakeholders to provide basic support in a timely and professional way.

Qualifications

  • Comfort with analyzing data, recognizing trends, and turning findings into practical recommendations.
  • Basic understanding of business concepts such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, or evaluating projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain insights to different audiences.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to handle questions and support internal or external partners professionally.
  • Experience using spreadsheets and presentation software such as Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, or similar tools; introductory data visualization knowledge is helpful.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage time well, and work independently in a remote setting while handling several tasks with care and accuracy.
  • A completed or in-progress bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, mining, or natural resources, along with a willingness to learn about sustainable mining practices.
