Role overview
We are hiring a detail-focused Business Analyst to support a major utility organization. The role centers on extracting, analyzing, and converting data into leadership-ready reporting, including WOR, DOR, and MOR presentation decks. This is a high-visibility position that calls for strong analytical ability, clear communication, and close collaboration with senior stakeholders to surface operational insights and improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update executive-level reporting decks such as WOR, DOR, and MOR using information from Excel and SQL.
- Extract, review, and verify data to keep PowerPoint deliverables accurate and reliable.
- Work alongside leadership to spot patterns, insights, and opportunities to improve operational performance.
- Carry out advanced data analysis and produce tailored reports.
- Build and enhance data models that support business decisions.
- Define, monitor, and report on metrics and KPIs tied to strategic programs.
- Share conclusions and recommendations with leadership.
- Provide support for ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements across teams.
- Oversee small to mid-sized projects and related deliverables.
Required experience and qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in business analysis or a similar analytical role.
- Hands-on experience working with data in Excel and SQL.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills, especially for building executive presentations from data.
- Background in presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and driven to deliver results.
- Must be able to work onsite in Dublin or San Ramon one day per week.
Preferred experience
- Experience creating Power BI reports or dashboards.
- Prior work in utilities, operations, or other large enterprise settings.
- Exposure to KPI design and performance monitoring.

Additional information
