Job description

Role overview

We are hiring an experienced Business Analyst (m/f/d) for a client project in the industrial automation space. The organization builds advanced Remote Recovery and Remote Health IoT solutions that improve the reliability, security, and intelligence of critical infrastructure.

This position is a full-time role with immediate start. The setup is predominantly remote, with flexible on-site presence in Düsseldorf when needed. Depending on project scope, the team typically includes one to two business analysts.

What you will do

You will own solution design and delivery from end to end, acting as a reliable partner for business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and senior engineers across complex cross-functional programs.

For Remote Recovery, the work involves enabling remote control and restart capabilities as well as supporting remote rescue operations. The solution is fully integrated into existing platforms and must satisfy all applicable safety requirements. Your focus will include requirements management, solution design, and coordination of rollouts across several countries.

For Remote Health IoT, the solution uses live controller data to track equipment condition and system performance. Implementation must account for local legal and regulatory obligations. In this stream too, you will handle requirements, shape the solution, and support international rollout execution.

Core responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, structure, and translate stakeholder inputs into practical and technically robust solution concepts.
  • Work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and business teams to drive complex initiatives to completion.
  • Take full ownership of the concept, design, and delivery lifecycle, from first requirement through production use.
  • Plan and coordinate rollouts of Remote Recovery and Remote Health IoT across multiple countries and regions, while factoring in local needs.
  • Manage requirements with attention to safety standards and local compliance obligations.
  • Act as the main contact for strategic and technical questions, recommend approaches, and share best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Designer, or in a comparable role with end-to-end accountability.
  • Strong command of requirements engineering, including elicitation, documentation, prioritization, and alignment with technical teams.
  • Good understanding of solution design, system architecture, integrations, and IoT-based systems, without needing deep coding expertise.
  • Background in international project coordination, especially rollouts involving different regulatory environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across executive, technical, and operational audiences.
  • Awareness of safety-critical environments and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent English, which serves as the working language.
  • Additional strengths include experience with IoT platforms, remote management solutions, or industrial IoT.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working and iterative delivery.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed international teams.
  • Exposure to change management and user adoption planning.
  • Basic technical understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architectures.

Work setup

The role is based in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with more than 90% remote work and flexible on-site days.

The engagement is full-time at 100% utilization.

Start is expected immediately (ASAP).

The team size for this assignment is typically 1 to 2 business analysts, depending on the scope of the project.

Additional information

This opportunity is focused on supporting a globally leading client in industrial automation. The work spans critical infrastructure use cases and requires careful alignment of business needs, technical design, safety, and international deployment constraints.
